Congratulations to Dr. Alejandro Egido, 2020 Dave Johnson Award recipient.
Dr. Egido will be honored at the next gathering of the Robert Goddard Memorial Dinner, now scheduled for Friday, September 17, 2021, at the Robert Goddard Memorial Dinner for his novel analytic technique which improves along-track resolution of high-rate satellite radar altimeters. The award is presented to young professionals for outstanding innovation in the use of satellite data for operational environmental applications.
Alejandro has been with the Laboratory for Satellite Altimetry since 2015, and he currently serves as the NOAA Jason Measurement System Engineer.
He is employed by Global Science & Technology, Inc. and is a Visiting Assistant Research Scientist at the University of Maryland Earth System Science Interdisciplinary Center (ESSIC).
